Apply an appropriate amount directly to clean, dry lips, and reapply through the day whenever they start to feel dry. The transparent finish means it works alone, under lip colour, or over a tint for extra shine.

For overnight care, apply a more generous, even layer before bed and leave it on until morning — this is where the ceramide content earns its place.

• Before applying lip colour, use a thin layer, let it settle for a minute, then blot away the excess. A wet lip surface will move any tint or lipstick you put on top of it.
• If your lips are flaking, resist the urge to scrub first. Layer this on generously overnight for a few nights and the flakes tend to lift on their own without the raw, over-exfoliated stage.
