Lactic Acid does the surface work as the AHA, while Salicylic Acid, Betaine Salicylate, and Willow Bark Extract handle the oil-soluble side, loosening buildup inside pore-prone areas. The embossed side of the pad goes over the T-zone and other congested spots; the soft side then spreads the remaining essence across the rest of the face. This is an active formula — it also carries Alcohol Denat. and a blend of citrus and herbal plant oils, so sensitive or acid-naive skin should build up gradually rather than starting daily.

After cleansing, wipe the embossed side gently across the face, avoiding the eyes and lips, concentrating on areas prone to oil and buildup. Turn the pad over and sweep the soft side across the skin to distribute the remaining essence. Do not rinse.

Follow with serum and moisturizer. In the morning, finish with broad-spectrum sunscreen. Start at two or three times per week and increase only if your skin stays comfortable.

• Do not pair these with other acids, scrubs, or retinoids in the same routine, especially while you are introducing them. Most irritation from pads comes from stacking, not from the pads themselves.
• Use the included tweezers rather than your fingers, and close the jar tightly — the pads dry out fast once the seal is broken, and dry pads drag on the skin.

Citrus peel oils can increase sensitivity to sunlight, so these pads are best used in the evening. Contains Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract — avoid with a known soy allergy.
