A soothing hydrogel treatment for skin that feels dry, tight, or easily sensitized. BIODANCE built this version of the Real Deep Mask around its Cera-nol blend — ceramides paired with panthenol — with the brand describing it as a mask for deep hydration and quick calming, aimed at sensitive skin.

Like the rest of the Real Deep line, there is no fabric carrier: the two-piece hydrogel is the formula itself, and it adheres closely to the contours of the face. Five ceramides (NP, NS, AP, AS, EOP) with cholesterol and phytosphingosine sit alongside Panthenol, Niacinamide, and a multi-weight hyaluronic acid complex, while shea butter and allantoin keep the wear comfortable. The mask gradually turns transparent as it wears.

After cleansing and applying toner, place the lower section along the lips and remove its film, then place the upper section along the eyes and remove its film. Leave on for at least three to four hours, until the mask turns transparent, or overnight as the final step of an evening routine.

Remove the mask and gently pat any remaining essence into the skin. Do not rinse. Follow with your moisturizer if your skin still feels like it needs it. How quickly the hydrogel clears depends on wear time and skin condition.

• Keep the prep light — one layer of toner, absorbed for a few minutes. On reactive skin, skip exfoliating or active serums the night you wear it, so the mask is the only thing on your skin for those hours.
• Lie down for a few minutes after applying so it settles, and put the unused eye and mouth cut-outs on dry patches around the nose, chin, or neck.
